BSA Youth Protection Training Available Online

The BSA National Council has made Youth Protection Training available online. Completion of this training is required for all adult leaders, and National and Local BSA tour (travel) permits require that at least one adult leader on each trip have this training. This is a comprehensive, high-quality training seminar, dealing with a difficult subject in a professional manner. All adult leaders are required to take this training. At the completion of the online training you'll be asked to take a short multiple-choice test to confirm your learning. The training will take slightly over1 hour to complete.

Parents: you'll find the Youth Protection Training program to be quite informative about the many affirmative policies the BSA enforces to protect your son. Parents are encouraged to take the training, as well — you can never tell when a great leadership opportunity may present itself !

To take the Youth Protection Training online, you must first create (or log into) an account at my.scouting.org. Then you can select the Youth Protection icon on the right side of the screen to access the training.
