On May 8th 2025 troop 62 had a grand cooking challenge between all of the patrols they had a tableful of ingredients to choose from and each patrol made their own dish. All the patrols worked hard making ramen, fried rice, tortilla chips and more but in the end there could only be one patrol declared as the winners. After each patrols meal was done each judge tasted it and gave it a score and in the end the Rigatoni warriors won with their fried rice and tortilla chips. This event was very fun and entertaining but thought lots of skills that can be used on campouts and real life.

Mr. Shemenski was our scoutmaster and he recently retired, he helped many scouts advance and learn new skills. He was very good at helping scouts understand skills that are necessary and made it easier for other people in the troop to become their better selves. The new scoutmaster of troop 62 is Mr. Senatro who was a leader in the troop but will now become the scoutmaster. Mr. Shemenski was liked by everyone and made sure each scout had a place in the troop. Everyone is thankful that we had such a great leader and are sad to see him go but we are all excited for new beginnings. This is a new start to troop 62 and everyone in it. We hope to continue to have a troop that is inclusive and can have anyone join.
